Silver Momentum - modern painting

The modern painting “Silver Momentum” explores the idea of ​​movement and progress in a clean yet distinctive visual language. The central elements of the composition are partially overlapping shapes created with structured paste, which create a dynamic rhythm on the surface.

The deep black background provides a powerful foundation for the painting. From this dark space, shapes painted in different shades of silver emerge, evoking the subtle presence of light. The contrast is both dramatic and elegant, yet never harsh. The balance of darkness and light creates a harmonious unity.

The structured surfaces lend a special spatiality to the composition. The light affects the prominent parts differently, so the painting reveals new and new details with the change of perspective and lighting. The interaction of material and light makes the surface come alive.

The silver color in this work does not appear only as a decorative element. For me, it represents a more subdued form of light: that quiet inner force that is not necessarily spectacular, but is still present and helps to move forward even through difficult times.

The dynamic, interconnected forms evoke the continuous movement of life. It is not always big changes that shape our destiny; often it is small steps, perseverance and continuous progress that move us forward. The painting “Silver Momentum” depicts this quiet, yet constant, driving force.

Although this painting was made in an earlier period of my creative work, the themes that became prominent in my later works already appear here: the search for light, the acceptance of change and the representation of different forms of hope.

The painting:

• original work hand-painted on stretched cotton canvas measuring 40 x 40 cm, the canvas is pinned to the back of the frame, the side of the canvas is also painted,
• textured surface created with fine-grained structure paste, painted with quality artist acrylic paints: black, antique silver, light silver,
• the surface of the painting is coated with UV-resistant, satin gloss varnish.

This painting is a unique, handmade original work. The signature of the painter, Erika Dékány, can be found on the back of the painting. The painting will be delivered with a certificate of origin.
