Greenish-blue Momentum - modern painting

The modern painting titled "Greenish-blue Momentum" is the final piece in the "Momentum" series, where the themes of movement and forward progression meet a color palette inspired by nature.

The painting is set against a deep, dark blue background, from which partially overlapping forms—created using modeling paste—emerge. Painted in various shades of greenish blue, the subtle transitions between these shapes accentuate the surface's dimensionality while establishing a soft, undulating rhythm within the composition.

These textured forms evoke images of water surfaces, currents, or the constant motion found in nature. Although the work is abstract, the colors and shapes can still evoke familiar sensations: the tranquility of water, the mystery of the depths, and the beauty of constant change.

For me, shades of blue and greenish blue hold special significance, connecting to nature, water, a sense of freedom, and inner peace. These colors embody both energy and stillness, movement and balance.

The central concept of the painting is momentum—manifesting here not as a forceful surge, but as a natural flow. Just as water finds its path, so too do we move forward in life—sometimes faster, sometimes slower, yet always in continuous motion.

Thanks to the interplay of light and shadow, the textured surface constantly reveals new details. The painting can take on different characters depending on the time of day and the lighting, thereby establishing a living connection with its surroundings. Although this piece dates back to an early period of my creative journey, it already reveals themes that would later become defining elements of my work: the inspiration of nature, the acceptance of change, the beauty of movement, and the pursuit of inner balance.

• original work hand-painted on stretched cotton canvas measuring 40 x 40 cm, the canvas is pinned to the back of the frame, the side of the canvas is also painted,
• textured surface created with structure paste, painted with quality artist acrylic paints: dark blue, light blue, greenish blue,
• the surface of the painting is coated with UV-resistant, satin gloss varnish.
