Hope 2. - modern painting

The painting “Hope 2.” depicts the presence and power of hope through abstract, layered forms. The black base and the shapes created with black textured paste, which stand out from the space, create a deep, restrained atmosphere, from which the light and the glow of gold gradually unfold.

The composition features partially overlapping, organic forms that can also be interpreted as symbols of difficulties, layers of life and internal processes. The surfaces created with the help of textured paste give the painting a special spatiality and materiality, so the work provides a rich experience not only visually but also in its texture.

The 24K gold foil, which covers some of the forms completely and others only subtly, creates a special contrast with the matte black background. Gold does not only appear as a decorative element, but also becomes a symbol of hope, inner light and human perseverance. The combination of black and gold simultaneously radiates elegance, strength and deep emotional content. Despite the minimalist color scheme of the painting, it carries a rich inner atmosphere that conveys calm, depth and inner stability.

Depending on the lighting conditions, the golden surfaces are constantly changing: sometimes they shine more subduedly, sometimes more intensely, so the painting always shows a slightly different face. This variability also refers to the nature of hope, that sometimes it is stronger, sometimes quieter, present in our lives, but it remains with us throughout.

• original work hand-painted on stretched cotton canvas measuring 60 x 60 cm, the canvas is pinned to the back of the frame, the side of the canvas is also painted,
• textured surface created with structure paste, 24K real gold foil, painted with quality artist acrylic paints: black, gold,
• the surface of the painting is coated with UV-resistant, satin gloss varnish.

This painting is a unique, handmade original work. The signature of the painter, Erika Dékány, can be found on the back of the painting. The painting will be delivered with a certificate of origin.

The painting is made on stretched canvas, the side of which is also painted, so it can be placed on the wall without framing.
